Many times when I have been there they are understaffed. I have questioned why only one person is on the phones or at the counter and they just say they're understaffed and laugh.
I've been here a few times and the service from staff and quality of care has generally been quite good. I particularly appreciate the relative ease of making appointments compared to other health care providers I've used in the past.
We have been with them for more than 15 years and they are getting too busy to do a reasonable job. Grumpy doctors, indifferent nurse practitioners and awful receptionists.
Every time I call, I have to hold and I end up hanging up because I'm on hold for so long. When I finally made an appointment (took 2 days), it was then cancelled by the doctor. I had already put in for a vacation day for the appointment so when I asked for the very first appointment or the last appointment of the day on another day, I was told annual checkups aren't given at those times so I have to take more time off of work. I never had a doctor's office be so difficult. Needless to say, I found another doctor. The doctors here are good but the office is not run well at all. Penn Medicine should be ashamed of themselves.
When arriving they are always behind schedule. Normally I'm patient and understand these things. I just plan an extra hour to be in the office waiting room and then for the doctor. But now I'm getting frustrated after dealing with all the other crap. I don't understand how they are ALWAYS behind.
This is the worst practice in the history of the world. They never have appointments for anyone! I have tried for my mother and for myself. I called for a sick appointment and they told me they do not have an opening for two days. They said I can try to call on Saturday morning and hopefully they will be able to see me. Hopefully, I can not believe that they would say hopefully to someone who is sick! I hope everyone reads this review. They do not care about patients it is all about money. Not to mention I have been a patient since they were a little practice on Main street in Yardley. I miss when they actually cared!
I'm hoping Penn Medicine gets their act together and hires either more staff or fixes these issues. For how nice the facility this really drags them down.
The last few times I called to schedule an appointment, during normal business hours, it is not picked up by a person and goes to voicemail.
To sum up. Doctors and nurses good, office staff and phone lines very bad.
The office opens at 7:30am according to their phone line, however the phones do not open until 8pm. This is nowhere stated on their lines. Also, the last few times I have called the phone lines didn't actually open until around 8:20am. So I'm left calling over and over again until they feel like opening for the line to make an appointment.
I have been going to Penn Medicine for over 25 years. The doctors are good but the office is a different story. I've been so frustrated lately trying to schedule appointments that felt I needed to write a review.
If this was just a one time experience, or maybe a two or three time, maybe I would forget about it. But unfortunately this is been consistent.
I've been hung up on more than a few times by accident, forcing me to call in again and go through all the frustration above.
